Artist's Comments

Its actually a sculpture of a Crow Avatar but he came to be know fondly as 'Mr. Pancake'. Not sure how much work was put into him, but it was over a span of 10 weeks, and quite seldom as well. Keep in mind, this is my first (and possibly last) attempt at actual traditional modelling. Too goddamn expensive!

texture tastic!...if theres one thing great about sculpting its the texture and depth!...this looks alot better than anything ive done in sculpting...maybe you should reconsider that "last time" part :(

Oh Arrrgh! I'm never using DevArt's thumbnail function again. Assuming I did it correctly, you actually have to click that down-arrow icon to download the full thing, right? Kind of ass backwards o_O;

It's wonderful and you should do it more often...I like the textures and shapes...it is trully great and if you don't do more sculptures ever I will cry...:tears:

Well the big issue was the fact that the equipment alone ran me 75 dollars, at least fifty dollars of which was for the clay. I ain't rich!!

Then to actually paint the damn thing and cast it...dear god...
Yup, I'll stick to cheap-ass mediums :D

You can sculpt? Jesus man, talk about multitalented! I can't do NOTHING like that! This skill will make it easy for you to produce movies and such........helps the prop guys get a feel for what you're trying to accomplish. Keep it up, that's a valuable skill!

Mother ******! That's is so freaking awesome--and your first attempt too. It would be a shame if this was your last one. Dammit. I'll come back and critique it when I can get the butterflies out of my stomach.

mmk as a person currently working on clay at school and sucking like a sucking thing on it, wow.

It is a very good sculpture ! :D

Can it stand on it's own?

It sure can! On its own with a big humongous metal armature coming out of its back, and screwed onto a base!
Which would equate to, not really certain but I'm not daredevil enough to test it o_O

This figure is nearly two feet tall...
